Biography

Chief Warrant Officer 3 (CW3) Thais Taylor is a highly esteemed member of the Michigan Army National Guard, based in Lansing, Michigan. She has served in various significant roles, notably as the State Equal Employment Manager (SEEM) from 2015 to 2020. In this position, Taylor promoted equal opportunity, civil, and human rights for soldiers, airmen, and civilians associated with the Michigan National Guard. Her efforts included implementing cultural programs to support diverse members across various demographics and enhancing workplace policies, such as those supporting women’s breastfeeding and lactation needs.

Taylor’s dedication to promoting equality and eliminating discrimination has earned her several accolades, including the prestigious NAACP Roy Wilkins Renown Service Award in 2022. This award recognizes her significant contributions to civil and human rights, equal opportunity, and public service within the military.

Currently, Chief Taylor serves as the Warrant Officer Strength Manager for the Michigan Army National Guard. In this role, she focuses on recruiting talented individuals to become warrant officers, who serve as technical experts and advisors to senior leaders and commanders. Her efforts aim to make the National Guard more inclusive and representative of the communities it serves.
