Academically, Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from Pepperdine University, Malibu California. A varied course study has contributed to her effective communication and outreach skills.
Terry’s leadership abilities shine through as the Research and Training Chair for the Afro-American Genealogical Society of Chicago and an Ambassador for A Better Chance.
As a member of many American Genealogical and Historical Societies, she values collaboration and the collective effort to preserve and share African American history. Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Terry is an active community volunteer, a sports enthusiast, a ‘couch coach,’ and an avid reader.
