The process BPOG takes for each project

Project Selection and Approval - A project is selected and approved by the board members of Black Pearls of Genealogy.

Memorial Selection - The Cross or Lost Stories Memorial is selected to fit the approved project.

Order and Arrival - Once ordered, the memorial will take 2-3 months to arrive in the United States. The memorial will be shipped from Indonesia. The selected project team will be responsible for the cost of shipping and handling $1,200 Cross Memorial - $1,500 Lost Stories Memorial.

The project leader and team will decide on the text to be engraved on the memorial. The engraving will be verified 2-3 times prior to the engraving process.

The engraving can take up to a month or more based on the amount of text on the memorial. After the completion of the engraving, the memorial will be photographed, and images forwarded to the project manager.

We have secured the resources and capabilities to ensure every memorial arrives at the correct location. If by chance, there are any damages to the memorial during shipping, our supplier will take total responsibility.

Delivery Location - The project manager and his/her team will decide the location of the delivery. The driver will deliver the memorial on-site or at a designated location.

Inspection Upon Arrival - Upon arrival, the project manager or his/her representative will inspect the shipment prior to signing off that the delivery was completed and is 100% acceptable.

Once the memorial is delivered, inspected, and accepted as approved, the Black Pearls of Genealogy's responsibility for the memorial is concluded.

Location Identification:

  • Identify the suggested location where the memorial will be placed.
  • Contact the landowner, state, or city to discuss your intentions.
  • Obtain permission to access the land and establish a memorial.
  • This location must be visible and fully accessible to the public and your community.

Foundation Installation

Install a foundation based on the specifications of the memorial for the installation.

Coordination of Installation

Coordinate with the personnel who will be handling the installation of the memorial. A local assembler or company will be required to assemble your memorial.

Installation Scheduling - Once the memorial arrives, the project leader and team will decide on the installation date that works for them based on their preference. It may be determined by the changing of the seasons or other projects, etc.

Fundraising Initiatives

Recognizing the financial challenges that can accompany new ventures, we encourage your organization to engage in fundraising efforts or to solicit donations. These initiatives are an excellent opportunity to galvanize community support and secure the requisite funds for the initial phase of the project.

Cancellation Policy

It is imperative to acknowledge that if your organization’s decision to cancel the project after the  order of the memorial has been placed, your organization WILL incur the full financial accountability of cancellation. This clause is a safeguard to ensure the responsible allocation of resources and to mitigate potential losses.

We believe in transparent and proactive communication and remain available to discuss any aspect of this process. We look forward to your partnership and the impactful results our joint efforts will yield.
