History of White Marsh Farm
White Marsh Farm, near Bowie in Prince George’s County, was smaller than some other Jesuit plantations but still vital, with an enslaved population of 40–60. This site produced grain and tobacco and contributed directly to Jesuit missions and educational endeavors. Families from White Marsh were also included in the 1838 sale to Louisiana.
