Here are two simple and efficient methods to quickly find genealogical documents on FamilySearch. These are among the fastest ways to navigate the platform for your research.

Old Version - Easy to Use

The search feature on this page lets you browse all images on FamilySearch, including unindexed records. This means you could find documents that may not appear in traditional searches!

FamilySearch is a free resource that provides unlimited access to historical records and tools. Please note that while FamilySearch is free to use, you will need to register for a free account to access its full range of services.

Go to Search and select – Images

You can enter just a State, or be more specific by entering a City, Town, Parish, County, and State. Next Click – (Search Image Group)

  1. Type or Select your area of research. (Places Within)

  2. Enter the date range you would like to search, or a specific year.

Life Events

1. Select your event 

2. Each event has a submenu with additional options for your location.

New Version
